Hong Kong is a place I grew up, parted and rediscovered throughout my youth and adulthood. As I migrated across the globe, the HKer identity and memories still remains while I witness the ever-changing political climate since the Anti-ELAB protest in 2019 from afar.
Despite the increasing censorship, arrests and crackdown on free speech and press under the effects of National Security Law (NSL) - HKers 手足 and countless freedom fighters from all walks of life continue to stand in solidarity with Hong Kong and its people, as we share the same yearning for freedom and democracy.
This is an album delicated to perserve these echos of the city, HKer spirits, and a record of our collective resistance.
Even though our history continues to be erased, HongKongers will never be forgotten.
即使徒勞無功,決不無疾而終
Even if it is in vain, it will never end in vain
